Polychrono village
Polychrono is an old village which since a long time has turned into a popular tourist resort appealing many visitors as it gets much alive during summer. It has long, “Blue Flag” awarded beach, lots of tavernas to try tasty seafood and bars along the coast road. Polychrono is also known about its pleasant nightlife.
Polychrono is surrounded by beautiful nature, with the landscape dominated by the pine forest and olive tree plantations.
Worth it to see:
The Mavrobara Lake, a site of considerable ecological interest, nearby the village. It was declared as a protected natural monument in 1997 and that is the only wetland hosting both rare species of the Emydidae turtle. There are walking trails around the lake, with natural springs and lush greenery to revitalize yourself.
