Ouzo & Tsipouro

Halkidiki has a long history in the production of the traditional Greek distillates -ouzo and tsipouro. Monks at Mount Athos were the first that produced it.

Wine & wineries

The vineyards of Halkidiki are typified by that on the slopes of Mount Meliton, in Sithonia, which is one of the largest single vineyards in Greece.

Honey

Halkidiki is considered to be the “motherland” of honey, which is probably true since there are 6.500 honey makers who produce 1.910 tonnes of high honey annually.
