The scenic village, located on the north-eastern coast of Halkidiki, on the road to the Athos peninsula, is surrounded by lush, green mountains and an appealing coastline. Nearby, the Ancient Stagira, a place of great archeological interest, is popular as it is the birthplace of the Greek philosopher, Aristotle.
Today’s village, built alongside a beautiful beach, stretches in a bay of a natural harbor. It is surrounded by green mountains and magnificent beaches that attract a lot of visitors.
Walk on the footsteps of Aristotle and hike "Aristotle's route", a 14klm route connecting Ancient Stagira with Aristotle's park. Follow the amazing route through a magnificent journey among bushlands and forest, enjoy the view to Mountain Stratoniko and Mount Athos. Get to know the nature of Halkidiki by taking a hike that passes through ancient forest chestnuts and wildlife refuge "Krioneri-Kalogeriko". The starting point of Aristotle's route is just opposite Ancient Stagira and ends at Aristotle's park or vice versa. This is part of Halkidiki Routes network.

Each year, on 7th of July, plenty of amusing cultural events take place in Olympiada; during the whole week before, one of which is the famous “Mussel Festival” that attracts visitors from all over Macedonia and European countries.
