Location: From Thessaloniki → 68km- From Polygyros → 31km
Nea Potidea has one of the longest sandy beaches (15km) that lies to the east and a quite and charming harbor featuring sections of a Byzantine wall lies to the west.
The modern town is a popular tourist resort with a wide beach, a range of bars and traditional tavernas at the seaside, many hotels, shops etc.
Worth it to see:
- The castle ruins of the fortiﬁcation founded at the isthmus of the peninsula, which is about a straight wall 1.200 meters long.
- The large canal of Nea Potidea which has shallow, emerald water.
