Feast of Saint Efthimios

17 June 2017 – Vrastama Village

Every year, the residents of Vrastama organize a pilgrime mass at the cave of Saint Efthimios of Neos (Youth), located at Mikroskino of Vastama.

At a distance of about 5.5 kilometers from the village, the inhabitants using various means of transportation are led with reverence in the saint’s cave. Pilgrims of all ages are participating in this ritual, courageously and adamantly to arrive at this wild but beautiful place that arouses awe. Isolated, the cave, hidden between rich vegetation, next to the river, welcomes the believers every year.

After the mass, locals and visitors are celebrating with music, dance and of course, drinking and eating local treats.
