The Cultural Center of Ierissos proudly presents the retrospective exhibition of Efthymios Walsamis. The exhibition is dedicated to the profoundly mystical character of the Holy Mountain, Mount Athos.

Its prohibition on entry women and its enormous religious symbolism and content, especially for Orthodox Christians, prompts you to approach Halkidiki in an entirely different way.

Painting by Efthymios WalsamisThe work of the Greek artist includes large scale paintings, sculptures and installations.

The exhibition takes the visitor to a journey closer to divine showcasing the 1.000 years old monasteries that are scattered across the peninsula and the lush green natural setting of Mount Athos.

Additionally, the visitor can watch a 3D video titled “Travelogue in Mount Athos which shows what is like to live in this sacred place.
