Agios Pavlos is the wine country of West Coast of Halkidiki.
A unique landscape where the green of the vineyards embraces the blue sky, and at large, the sea.
The area is famous for the vineyards and the packaging of fresh fruit industries. The inhabitants are mostly engaged in vine-growing. If one visits Agios Pavlos one could have a good chance to taste a glass of high-quality wine and “tsipouro”.
Furthermore, feasts and festivals take place every year on the 25th of January and on the 6th of August to honor St. Gregory the Theologian and Christ's Transfiguration respectively.
The grape varieties that are cultivated in this area is “Roditis” and “Sauvignon Blanc”, white wine and “Xinomavro”, “Merlot” and “Cabernet Sauvignon”, mild red one; though it is said that both have great quality and special fruit flavor.
